Jorge Burgos brings veteran pop, versatility, and clutch bat-to-ball impact to UMass Lowell
In the 2026 season, graduate student Jorge Burgos has been a steady offensive piece for UMass Lowell, hitting .241 with 26 hits, 3 home runs, 18 RBIs, and 22 runs in 34 games, while flashing multi-position value at infielder/outfielder[1]. He’s the kind of experienced transfer who can change a game in a hurry, with standout outings like a grand slam and five-RBI day vs. Binghamton and a 4-for-5 game vs. NJIT[1][10][12]. What makes him especially interesting is the track record behind the numbers: at SNHU he hit .278 with 30 homers, 115 RBIs, a .401 OBP, and 39 steals across 143 games, so the upside is real if you want a seasoned, productive bat with proven versatility[1].
