Payton Pudenz gives CSUB a steady bullpen arm with strike-throwing upside
In the 2026 season, Payton Pudenz has been a useful right-handed bullpen piece for Cal State Bakersfield, mixing multiple scoreless outings with a few bumpy appearances that show he’s still finding full consistency. He’s not the flashiest arm, but he does have real value as a dependable reliever who can enter in leverage spots and compete, and he was recognized on the Big West CSC Academic All-District team in 2026. If your team wants a smart, resilient pitcher who can keep innings tidy and adds roster flexibility, Pudenz is worth a look.
