Sydney Montoya brings speed, defense, and veteran glue to Coastal Carolina
Montoya is a 5-foot-4 senior outfielder from Castle Rock, Colorado, whose value shows up in the little things: she played 50 games in the 2025 season, scored 16 runs, and stole 3 bases for Coastal Carolina while providing a reliable right-handed presence in the lineup and outfield[1]. Her game profile points to a contact-and-pressure style rather than power, and her academic recognition in 2026 suggests strong discipline and consistency off the field too[1][2]. If a team wants a speedy, steady, low-drama outfielder who can do the grunt work and spark innings, she fits nicely.
