energetic freshman guard with playmaking touch and room to grow
In the 2025-26 season, San Diego freshman guard Caleb Versher flashed a useful all-around game in limited minutes, appearing in three games and averaging 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 6.7 minutes per game. He stands out for his passing feel, rebounding from the guard spot and high-school résumé as a multi-time all-league winner, CIF Division I champion and 1,000-point scorer. The fit is intriguing: he looks like a competitive, team-first backcourt piece with upside, though he still needs to translate that production into consistent college impact.
