Caleb Donaldson brings veteran size, playmaking, and glue-guy value to EIU
Donaldson has been a steady, versatile 6-5 guard for Eastern Illinois, with team-first value that shows up in the unglamorous stuff: he led EIU in assists in 2022-23 with 103 and ranked ninth in the OVC at 3.3 assists per game, while also giving the Panthers 8.7 points per game and starting 29 of 31 games. In the 2024-25 notes, he was listed with a medical hardship waiver and had averaged 4.1 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game before his last game on Dec. 9, so the big question is health and rhythm; when right, he looks like a smart, physical connector who can fit a team that needs experience and decision-making.
