Power-armed Titans righty settling in as a swingman
In the 2025 season, Derek Turner made 20 appearances with three starts for Cal State Fullerton and logged a 2-1 record, 6.65 ERA, and 38 strikeouts in 43.1 innings, showing the Titans trust him in multiple roles even while the results have been uneven.[1][2] He’s a 6-foot-1, right-handed pitcher whose value is more about versatility and flashes of punchout ability than pure run prevention right now, and he has already delivered big-team innings in wins like the 2025 UC Davis game.[1][3] If your team wants a competitive, innings-eating arm with upside, he’s interesting; if you need a finished frontline starter, he’s still a work in progress.[1][2]
