Deshaun Highler brings steady backcourt energy and disruptive defense for Sacramento State
Highler is a physical, defense-minded guard who adds veteran poise, ball pressure, and timely shot-making to Sacramento State; in his Hornets season he averaged 5.0 points, 1.6 assists, and 0.9 steals in 19.7 minutes per game while flashing his best value in efficient, hustle-heavy stretches. He is the kind of fit-friendly guard coaches like because he can defend, handle secondary playmaking, and impact winning without needing high usage, though his scoring profile has been more complementary than carry-the-offense.
