Freshman lefty learning the ropes at Saint Peter’s
In the 2026 season, Luca Bruno is a freshman left-handed pitcher for Saint Peter’s who has already been used in meaningful innings, but his early numbers show a work-in-progress arm rather than a polished weekend stopper. He brings the classic lefty appeal—projectable frame, fresh upside, and matchup value—and he was a known two-way/high-school competitor before college, which hints at athleticism and feel. The fit is intriguing if your staff wants a developmental arm with room to grow, but the current profile suggests patience will be part of the package.
