Leo Boehling gives VMI a bruising, breakaway-capable RB with preseason All-SoCon buzz
In the 2025 season, Leo Boehling emerged as VMI’s lead back, rushing for 537 yards and 2 touchdowns on 128 carries while adding 14 catches for 88 yards; he also flashed big-play juice with a career-high 149-yard outing against The Citadel and a 70-yard run. He’s a compact, sturdy 6-foot, 235-pound runner who brings downhill physicality, enough burst to punish missed tackles, and enough versatility to help in the passing game and on special teams. Preseason first-team All-SoCon recognition says the league sees a legit difference-maker here.
