Cole Griffith brings veteran contact pop and clutch catching value to Georgia State
In the 2025 season, Cole Griffith hit .253 with 3 home runs, 16 RBI, and a .754 OPS for Georgia State, and in 2026 he remained a versatile presence at catcher while also producing timely offense, including extra-base damage and a two-run homer in conference play.[13][14][15] The big differentiator: he’s a fifth-year, right-handed backstop with enough bat-to-ball skill to keep innings moving and enough in-game toughness to handle a leadership role, which makes him a fit for teams that want experienced, dependable catcher depth more than flashy tools.[4][7][8]
