Elijah Negron brings steady middle-infield value and a contact-first approach for UMES
In the 2026 season, Elijah Negron has been a useful everyday infielder for Maryland Eastern Shore, with a .244 average, 11 RBI, 8 walks, and 3 stolen bases in 19 games, while showing some pop with 3 doubles and a disciplined approach at the plate[9]. His 2025 freshman season showed the same traits: 24 games, 18 starts, .241 batting, six RBI, five steals, a six-game hitting streak, and a first collegiate home run[1]. He looks like the kind of player coaches trust—versatile, competitive, academically solid, and capable of contributing at shortstop or second base[1][10].
