Freshman righty Caden Meeler is already a rotation piece for Central Arkansas
In the 2026 season, Central Arkansas freshman right-hander Caden Meeler has already logged multiple starts and shown real swing-and-miss stuff, including a season-high 6 strikeouts in 6 innings against Northwestern State, while also working deep enough to give the Bears innings when they need them most. He’s still getting hit at times — his season line shows a 5.52 ERA and 1.36 WHIP — but the early read is a live arm with starter’s durability, competitive poise, and enough strikeout ability to matter fast. If your team wants a young pitcher who can grow into more, he’s worth the attention.
