Remington Cotton

Remy Cotton is Rutgers’ 197-pound upset artist

In the 2026 season, Remy Cotton turned into one of Rutgers wrestling’s biggest momentum drivers at 197 pounds, earning a No. 15 seed at NCAAs, placing sixth at Big Tens, and shocking No. 2 Rocky Elam with a 12-4 major decision before reaching the blood round[12][13]. He’s the kind of transfer you care about because he brings proven tournament toughness, late-match composure, and real pin/bonus-point upside—most memorably an overtime pin that helped Rutgers stun No. 6 Minnesota[1][11].
