In the 2026 season, Cole Prout emerged as Central Michigan’s do-it-all senior OF, leading full-time starters in batting average (.332), hits (63), doubles (15), RBI (53), slugging (.568), walks (42) and on-base percentage (.480), while ranking top-10 in the MAC in OPS (1.058) and several run-production categories. He’s the kind of left-handed bat coaches love: patient, physical, and dangerous in the middle of the order, with enough speed for 12 steals and enough toughness to keep grinding through big spots.
