Local Cyclone with backup-QB upside and a runner’s edge
Connor Moberly is an Iowa State redshirt sophomore QB in 2026, and his value is less about gaudy passing numbers and more about athletic insurance: he has flashed mobility, added 29 rushing yards on limited work in 2025, and earned praise for his steady development in camp. The differentiator is his fit with the program’s culture—he’s a homegrown Southeast Polk product, a lifelong Cyclone, and a willing grinder who has battled injuries while staying in the mix for the QB2 role. If you want a tough, system-ready backup with some dual-threat juice, he’s absolutely worth a look.
