Ethan Driver brings size, polish and upside to Gardner-Webb’s WR room
Ethan Driver, a 6-foot-2, 170-185-pound freshman WR from Davie County, arrives at Gardner-Webb as a high-upside in-state target with early Power-conference-style attention and a reputation for crisp routes, strong hands, and explosiveness out of breaks. In his 2025 high school season, he reportedly averaged 91.6 receiving yards per game, a top mark among returning wideouts in North Carolina’s 7A class, and evaluators have praised his after-the-catch juice and physical blocking. If a team wants a polished, competitive receiver who can win at multiple levels and still has room to grow, he’s a very intriguing fit.
