Sydney Scapin brings dependable lefty value and standout academic discipline to South Alabama’s circle
Scapin entered South Alabama as a versatile 2024 recruit and, in her **2025 freshman season**, showed real workload value as a pitcher with **100.0 innings** across **29 appearances**; she also earned Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List and Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar honors, signaling maturity and reliability beyond the box score. Her best fit is a staff that values poise, competitiveness, and innings-eating depth over pure flash—she looks like a steady, team-first arm who can keep games competitive and handle pressure without needing the spotlight.
