Caden Leonard gives Kent State a veteran late-inning weapon
In the 2025 season, Kent State RHP Caden Leonard was a high-leverage bullpen arm, posting a 3-0 record, 4.13 ERA, 35 strikeouts, and just 11 walks in 28.1 innings, and he entered 2026 on the NCBWA Stopper of the Year watch list[1][2]. At 6-foot-5 with a right-right power frame, he profiles as a tough, strike-throwing relief option who can miss bats and handle pressure, while his Academic All-MAC recognition hints at the kind of dependable, composed teammate coaches trust when games get spicy[1][2][3].
