Bradyn Barnes brings a high-slot lefty look with real pitchability upside
Barnes is a left-handed pitcher whose appeal is the blend of long-lever extension, a high 3/4 arm slot, and feel for spin that gives him a chance to miss bats as he matures. In his Arizona State seasons, he worked limited but promising innings, and his earlier amateur reports noted a fastball up to 79 mph and a developing breaking ball with good spin. He looks like a developmental fit if you value projection, deception, and strike-throwing upside over finished velocity right now.[1][2]
