big-bodied Liberty righty still in the development lane
In the 2026 season, Seth Way is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound sophomore right-hander for Liberty who has not yet appeared in a college game, so the evaluation is mostly about projection rather than box-score production.[1] He brings a classic starter’s frame, a strong prep résumé with 100-plus strikeouts and 65-plus innings in back-to-back high school seasons, and championship experience from Randleman’s 2A state title teams.[1] The big caveat: he underwent Tommy John surgery and spent 2025 rehabbing, so the upside is real, but the timeline is the story.[1]
