Hamed Olayinka is FIU’s high-effort, high-impact frontcourt anchor
In the 2025-26 season, Hamed Olayinka has been the kind of forward coaches love: sturdy, efficient, and relentlessly active on both ends. He averaged 10.0 points and 6.7 rebounds in 23.7 minutes, shot 54.5% from the field, and added 1.3 blocks per game, with standout outbursts like 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks in the opener and a historic 11-point, 17-rebound, 5-block game in FIU’s win over Louisiana Tech. The 6-9 senior brings rim protection, rebounding, and physicality—exactly the stuff that travels.
