Brayden Hellum brings Minnesota speed, energy, and contact pop
In the 2025 season, Brayden Hellum hit .239 with a .689 OPS, 6 doubles, 11 RBIs, and 10 steals in 11 attempts for Minnesota, showing a useful leadoff-style skill set built on speed, left-handed contact, and hustle. Minnesota also described him as a “prototypical leadoff hitter” with plus speed, above-average arm strength, and high energy, which matches the on-field profile: disruptive, scrappy, and capable of contributing in multiple ways. He looks like a fit for a team that values pressure on the bases and intensity as much as raw power.
