Justin Kirkland brings proven interior size and run-stopping grit to BYU’s defensive line
Kirkland is a 6-3, 340-pound nose tackle with a track record of durability and production, appearing in all 12 games in 2024 with 18 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and a sack after playing all 14 games in 2023 and earning Academic All-Big 12 honors.[2][15][6] What makes him interesting is less the raw box score than the combination of bulk, consistency, and interior disruption: he has started at nose tackle, shown he can hold the point of attack, and has multiple seasons of meaningful snaps against FBS competition.[2][15] If you need a wide-bodied anchor who can eat blocks and stabilize the middle, he fits.
