UMBC Guard with High-Intensity Steal-and-Assist Play
Jack Schwietz, a 6'5" guard from Frisco, TX, is a high-intensity differentiator for UMBC, known for his aggressive steal-and-assist style rather than pure scoring. In the 2019-20 season, he averaged 2.7 ppg but delivered 16 assists and 9 steals in just 10.7 mpg, showcasing elite defensive intensity and playmaking in limited minutes. His career-high double-double (13 pts, 11 reb) in 2019 reveals surprising versatility. Though his scoring is modest (2.3 ppg per ESPN), his personality traits include relentless hustle and clutch reliability, as seen in his 13-point season-opener. He fits teams needing a high-energy, low-maintenance guard who disrupts opponents and creates opportunities without demanding star status.
