Amare Whetsell brings speed, polish, and upside to Missouri State’s receiver room
Amare Whetsell is a redshirt freshman WR for Missouri State who arrived with a strong prep résumé: as a senior in 2024, he posted 40 catches for 670 yards and 5 touchdowns, averaged 16.8 yards per catch, and was a two-time All-Dade County selection. Missouri State also lists him at 6-foot, 180 pounds with a top 40-yard time of 4.47, which screams vertical threat and separation juice. The catch: he did not play in 2025 to preserve his redshirt, so the appeal is more projection than production right now. If you want a developing, fast, high-upside target with clean recruiting pedigree, he’s worth the bet.
