Gwen Hill brings two-way intrigue for Furman, with proven strikeout upside and a track record of overpowering hitters
Gwen Hill is a right-handed pitcher at Furman who arrives with a strong high-school pedigree as a high-strikeout arm, including a dominant 2024 season in Georgia where she logged 319 strikeouts and 213 innings with a 1.64 ERA, and she also showed usable contact value at the plate in 2026 with a .344 average and .417 on-base rate at El Capitan. Her appeal is the combination of circle presence, workhorse durability, and competitive intensity; if Furman is looking for a pitcher who can miss bats and bring proven big-game experience, Hill fits that profile.
