a live arm with upside, now settling into the Bison bullpen
In the 2026 season, Jack Surdey is a sophomore right-handed pitcher for North Dakota State who made his Bison debut in relief and had a strong background coming in: 20 innings, a 4.50 ERA, 14 strikeouts, 2 saves, and a 1-0 record at Grayson College in 2025. He’s a 6-foot-2, 185-pound arm from Los Altos, Calif., and his recruiting resume includes being named a top-five player in Northern California by West Coast Preps. Why care? He brings bullpen depth, some polish, and room to grow—useful if your team wants a competitive strike-thrower with a real developmental ceiling.
