BYU's Switch-Hitting Infielder Dominates with Big 12 POTW Honors and Elite 2026 Stats
Ryder Robinson, the 6'2" switch-hitting shortstop for BYU, is a 2026 statistical standout with a .332 AVG, 11 HR, and 55 runs, earning Big 12 Co-Player of the Week in April 2025 after a four-game surge with five doubles and two homers. His differentiators include elite intensity—closing out the regular season with clutch RBIs in the 6th inning—and a switch-hitting versatility that disrupts opposing pitchers. As a 2023 Mountain West Player of the Year with a 6.95 60-yard dash time, Robinson combines speed, power, and defensive reliability at shortstop. He's a high-fit prospect for teams needing an intense, versatile infielder with proven conference impact and a track record of closing games under pressure.
