Uche Izoje is Syracuse’s bruising, efficient interior anchor
In the 2025-26 season, Uche Izoje emerged as one of Syracuse’s biggest difference-makers, finishing with 15.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 85 blocks while shooting 55.4% from the field and earning WBCA All-America honorable mention. Her calling card is two-way impact: elite rim protection, efficient scoring around the basket, and a motor that kept producing double-doubles and ACC weekly honors all season. She’s the kind of center who changes how opponents attack the paint — and yes, she looks like a very good fit if a team wants toughness, production, and a little swagger in the frontcourt.
