High-usage scorer with polished all-around high school résumé, now adjusting to Eastern Washington
In the 2025-26 season, Scherer has had a quiet start at Eastern Washington, averaging 2.1 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.4 assists through his early games, but his long-term appeal is obvious: he arrived as a proven bucket-getter who put up 26.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game in 2024-25 at Valor Christian. He’s a 6-foot-2 guard with shot-making range, defensive activity and playmaking instincts, and his high school resume shows he can carry offense and compete in winning environments. Right now, he looks like a developmental fit with real upside.
