Connor Cox Brings Pro-Style Size and Run-Blocking Value to UNC’s Tight End Room
At 6-foot-6 and about 250 pounds, Connor Cox stands out more as a physical, assignment-sound tight end than a volume receiver: in the 2025 season at North Carolina, he caught 5 passes for 21 yards while posting a strong 78.3 PFF run-blocking grade. That makes him interesting for teams that want a dependable in-line TE who can help the run game, protect edges, and do the dirty work; the upside question is whether his receiving role can expand beyond a limited target share.
