Tripp Patterson is emerging as North Alabama’s Friday-night tone-setter
In the 2026 season, the left-handed sophomore has been one of North Alabama’s most dependable arms, pairing strikeout stuff with length and poise: he logged multiple quality starts, including a 6.0-inning, 5-strikeout shutout of Austin Peay and a 6.2-inning gem against Lipscomb, while also showing he can miss bats in volume with a seven-strikeout outing against Saint Louis. He’s a durable, competitive starter who’s already been trusted in big spots, and that combination of workload, left-handed angle, and Friday-night mentality makes him a real fit for a staff that wants consistency with upside.
