Joshua Acord brings proven hands and YAC pop to App State’s TE room
Acord is a 6-foot-2, 245-pound redshirt junior who arrives at Appalachian State after a productive run at Southern Utah, where in the 2024 season he logged 23 catches for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns after 22 grabs for 210 yards and 1 score in the 2023 season. He’s a dependable, physical tight end with real receiving experience, a little after-the-catch juice, and enough size to help in a balanced offense. The fit looks strong if App State wants a TE who can be more than a checkdown valve and actually stress defenses.
