Big, skilled Purdue anchor with pro-caliber size
A.J. Hammons is a **7-foot interior presence** who gives Purdue a true rim anchor: he can score efficiently around the basket, protect the paint, and punish smaller lineups with his size in the **2015-16** era. He stood out for his post scoring and shot-blocking upside, and his value goes beyond box scores because he changes how opponents attack the lane. The main question for fit is consistency and motor—when engaged, he is a tough matchup, but teams wanting pace, switchability, or nonstop energy may prefer a more mobile center.
