Messiah Delhomme is an ascending Maryland playmaker with elite special-teams impact
Delhomme’s 2025 freshman season showed why Maryland is excited about his ceiling: he played in all 12 games, posted 39 tackles, 4 pass breakups, an interception and a fumble recovery, and became one of only 11 players nationally to block two kicks, earning Maryland’s Freshman Special Teams Player of the Year. He looks like a fit for teams that value versatility, urgency and physical, high-motor defensive backs who can change field position on special teams while growing into a bigger safety role in 2026.
