Aniyah Whipper is giving Howard a versatile, high-upside bat with big-play pop
In the 2026 season, Aniyah Whipper has emerged as a freshman infielder who can change a game fast: she earned MEAC Player of the Week honors after batting .875 with a 2.443 OPS in a sweep at North Carolina Central, adding 12 RBIs, six runs, four doubles, two steals and a triple. She has also delivered in pressure spots with clutch RBI hits and a perfect 3-for-3, six-RBI game. At 6-foot, she brings size, pop, and run-production to Howard’s lineup—exactly the kind of multidimensional infielder a team loves to plug in early.
