Speedy Center Fielder with Elite Contact Skills Lighting Up App State
Charlie Evans, App State's starting center fielder, is slashing .369/.??/.?? with 2 HR, 29 RBI, 32 runs, and 48 hits in 2026, showcasing his high-contact bat and wheels from a 5'9" frame—fresh off a transfer from Elon where he redshirted. A PA state standout (Perfect Game #15 OF), his bunting prowess (team-high 6 SH last year) and multi-hit games highlight plate discipline and gap power, making him a gritty, high-OBP leadoff fit for teams needing speed, defense, and reliability over raw pop. Watch for breakout potential.
