Christian Dunn gives Alcorn State a veteran catcher with real pop
In the 2026 season, Christian Dunn has been a useful right-handed catcher for Alcorn State, hitting .207 with 1 home run, 9 RBI, and a .672 OPS in 15 games. He flashed impact with a three-run homer in a win over BCU, showing enough bat-to-ball strength and game-changing power to matter in the middle of a lineup. At 6-foot-0 and 205 pounds, he brings a sturdy, experienced backstop profile and senior leadership, which makes him more than just a stat line—he looks like a steady, physical fit for a team that values toughness behind the plate.
