NIU’s high-usage scoring guard with rebounds, steals and shot-making
In the 2025 season, Valentine was Northern Illinois’ go-to perimeter scorer, averaging 13.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist while starting all 29 games, and he flashed a high ceiling with a career-high 27-point game against UMass and four steals in that win.[2][14][15] His value goes beyond the box score: he brings positional rebounding, defensive activity and efficient three-point volume, making him a fit for teams that want a guard who can score without needing the offense built entirely around him.[6][2]
