Jack Fenton brings strikeout feel and starter depth to Akron’s rotation
In the 2025 season, Jack Fenton gave Akron a workable right-handed arm: 11 appearances, 5 starts, a 5.85 ERA, 32.1 innings, and 28 strikeouts, with a season-high five punchouts at Miami (OH). He also logged a strong JUCO track record in 2024 at Columbia Basin—4-4, 68.1 innings, 56 strikeouts, two complete games, and a save—hinting at durability and swing-and-miss upside. The biggest reason to care: he looks like a competitive, innings-eating RHP with starter traits, though the 2026 medical redshirt means health and availability are the real swing factors.
