Jackson Fields brings high-upside freshman QB talent to UIW
In the 2026 season, Jackson Fields is a true freshman quarterback at UIW with a strong build at 6-foot-2 and 207 pounds, and the Cardinals’ staff has already highlighted his résumé as a prolific high school starter with 27 wins and 76 touchdown passes at Destrehan (La.). He’s currently behind veteran options on the depth chart, but the upside is obvious: arm talent, developmental runway, and enough dual-threat juice to contribute as a runner. If you want a long-term QB bet with big-play potential, Fields is the kind of prospect worth watching.
