Israel Robles is carving out a real role in EWU’s backfield
In Eastern Washington’s 2026 fall-camp and preseason work, Israel Robles has shown he can handle volume, leading the Eagles with 13 carries for 47 yards in the Aug. 13 scrimmage and adding a pass breakup and tackle on Aug. 21, which hints at a physical, willing all-around back. He looks like a depth-chart contender because he’s already getting trusted touches in a crowded RB room, and the buzz around EWU’s newcomers suggests he fits best as a tough, do-the-dirty-work runner who can earn snaps through effort and versatility.
