Jackson Dowd gives Lehigh a steady, instinctive linebacker presence
In the 2025 season, Jackson Dowd was a disruptive, reliable fit at rover for Lehigh, starting seven games, making 30 tackles, recording 2.0 tackles for loss and a sack, and returning from injury to post seven tackles against Holy Cross plus an interception at Colgate[2]. His 2024 season showed real playmaking growth with 64 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 5 passes defended and 1 interception[2][3]. At 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds, he wins with instincts, urgency and toughness more than pure size, and Lehigh’s staff spotlighted him in the 2026 season preview—usually a good sign a player is trusted, vocal and central to the defense[2][9].
