6-foot-7 Creighton righty flashing swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, McClellan has shown the kind of power-pitcher profile that scouts drool over: a huge 6-foot-7 frame, right-handed stuff, and flashes of real strikeout ability, including a side-retiring relief outing for his first Bluejay win and a 3.1-inning, two-hit, two-run start against North Dakota State. He’s still building consistency, so the ERA line has been bumpy, but the differentiator is obvious — size, leverage, and bat-missing potential. If you want a high-upside arm who can grow into more, he’s a very intriguing fit.
