Breezy Burnett is a high-IQ, speed-first outfielder whose bat and defense made her a reliable three-year Minnesota starter
Burnett was a steady, multi-year Gophers starter who brought speed, gap power, and dependable defense, leading Minnesota in triples in 2025 and stolen bases in 2024 while starting every game she played that season.[1][8] She also delivered in high-leverage moments, including a walk-off hit in 2023 and a grand slam in 2025, and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors, which points to a disciplined, team-first profile.[1] The big caveat: Minnesota said she will miss the 2026 season after a lower-body injury, so any team fit depends on her 2027 health return and recovery.[6][9]
