Champ Davis has been Wofford’s late-inning hammer in 2026
In the 2026 season, Wofford right-hander Champ Davis gave the Terriers a true bullpen weapon: a team-high 23 appearances, a team-high five saves, and a 3-1 record with a 4.17 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 45.1 innings. He’s more than just a stat line, though—Davis earned first-team preseason All-SoCon honors, was named SoCon Pitcher of the Week in 2025, and has shown the kind of trusted, high-leverage mentality coaches love when the game is on the line. The real selling point? He consistently gets outs in pressure spots, which makes him a fit for a team that values reliability over flash.
