UNC Greensboro RHP Cole Barnes brings a low-data, high-upside arm to watch
Cole Barnes is an intriguing UNC Greensboro right-hander with limited public college stats so far, but his high school résumé shows real arm value: a 2.43 ERA, 34 strikeouts in 31.2 innings, and a .262 opponent average in 2025-26. Listed at 6'1", he projects as a work-in-progress pitcher with upside rather than a finished product, and the lack of season statistics suggests he may be early in his college role or still establishing himself. For a staff that values developmental arms, he looks like a reasonable fit if you want upside, strike-throwing potential, and a growth case rather than immediate polish.
