Ian Regal is emerging as a legit lefty weapon for Butler
In the 2026 season, Butler LHP Ian Regal has shown starter-level value with a 3.60 ERA, 1.90 WHIP, and 5 strikeouts in his latest stat line, while also earning a win with a three-inning, scoreless outing against Bowling Green. He’s a 6-foot-2, 195-pound left-hander from Rochester, Minn., with a pedigree that included a top-lefty ranking out of Minnesota, and his calling card is competitive innings-eating potential with real bat-missing upside. The fit is clear: if you want a sturdy southpaw who can survive lineups and flash strikeout ability, Regal’s worth a hard look.
