Ajay Allen brings proven efficiency and veteran polish to WKU’s backfield
In the 2025 season, Ajay Allen posted 497 rushing yards, 5 rushing touchdowns, and a 5.1 yards-per-carry clip at Tulsa before arriving at Western Kentucky in 2026 as a preseason Doak Walker Award candidate and All-Conference USA watch-list back[1][3][4]. He’s a sturdy, experienced RB at 5-foot-11, 200 pounds with enough burst to finish drives, plus real pass-game utility (10 catches for 98 yards in 2025)[1][9]. The fit? If you want a dependable, north-south runner with veteran savvy and a track record of production, Allen looks like a smart add; if you need a pure home-run sprinter, he’s more efficient hammer than fireworks[1][4][13].
