FIU Panthers Guard from the 2015-16 Era
Ray Rodriguez, a 6-0 guard for the FIU Panthers in the 2015-16 season, averaged 3.7 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists over 20 games with four starts, peaking at a season-high 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting against UT Martin. A gritty Miami native from Hialeah Gardens HS with prior UNF experience, he brought veteran toughness and court vision as a junior transfer, making him a reliable bench spark for intensity-driven teams needing combo guard depth—though now years removed from college play, his pro-level pedigree in Mexico hints at enduring basketball IQ.
